Publishers Weekly Feature

Molly Yao Shen at Yeehoo Press has acquired world rights to Opal’s Springtime Birdhouse by Emily Matheis (l.), illustrated by Albert Arrayás. When pizzazz and silliness are prized over purpose and function, Opal is devastated to lose the birdhouse building contest, but she might just win the only vote that counts: a bluebird’s, with a birdhouse that brings in nature’s own beauty. Publication is planned for spring 2023 in the U.S. and mainland China; Jennifer Herrington at Harvey Klinger represented the author, and Lilla Rogers Studio represented the illustrator.
